Qashqai

Right, lets be honest, when someone mentions that they have been looking at purchasing a Nissan, the first thing that springs to mind is either a Nissan Bluebird or Nissan's other namesake the Datsun!

Neither of which shout out well spec'd or well built quality cars. As a general rule from the 80's right through to the early 00's Nissan have been associated with the following: Dull cars that are driven by people who, to be fair, are no longer waiting for God but have arranged the last supper with him for next Tuesday!

This is very easy to back up! Look at the Nissan range from 1990-2000! You have: The Almera, Primera, Serena and Maxima etc... now with cars like these it is very easy to forget that Nissan made some astonishingly good cars in that time, like the 300 ZX, Skyline GTR and the R390
(admittedly they only made 2 road versions of this but you get my point) but the general run of the mill stuff was, and I'm being nice here, Bland at best.

But in the 2000's they seem to have addressed this issue with cars like the Micra, Note, X-trail and Navara, but up until 2007, Nissan didn't have a car that could compete with the Astra's and Focus's of the world, leaving a big hole in Nissan's product range.

This hole has been well and truly filled by the wonderful Qashqai! Named after a tribe from the provinces of Khuzestan (I have no idea why!), this car is a family hatchback that just so happens to look like a 4x4 and
I have to say that we absolutely love this car! Not only is it a good looking car the main thing is standard spec you get: CD Player, A/C, Bluetooth, Alloy wheels, Electric Front Windows etc...

It drives very well, has an excellent driving position and plenty of space in the back for the kids.

With all this I'd say that the Qashqai is the best all-round deal that we have at Eurolease Direct and have no hesitation in recommending the Qashqai or its 7 seat big brother, the cleverly named Qashqai + 2, to any of our customers who are looking for a good all-round family car.
